Inspired by Mike Parr’s work – Word Situations, these are the first two works of a series where the process of repetition of popular phrases is used to create visual puns with multiple meanings to tease the viewer and provoke questions and interpretations from them about art and language. Does exaggeration and repetition make something more or less truthful?
